Roski to Exhibit in the 2019 Masters’ of the American West Exhibition at The Autry

Gayle Garner Roski is one of 64 artists exhibiting in the upcoming Masters’ of the American West Exhibition and Sale at the Autry Museum of the American West, on view beginning February 9, 2019.

For more than a decade, Roski has participated in this display, widely considered the country’s premier Western art show.

Her works in the 2019 event shine the spotlight on historic and beloved landmarks in Los Angeles, including one site that has a special link to actor Gene Autry – Melody Ranch. Once owned by the singing cowboy, Melody Ranch was the location at which many of Hollywood’s most famous western films and television shows were filmed. In this watercolor painting, Roski depicts a scene from the expansive Western town and includes an image of Autry and his on-screen companion, Champion the Wonder Horse, which lived on the ranch for many years.

Her other paintings in the exhibition include two other famed entertainment locations: Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and Hollywood Bowl.

Dates: February 9 to March 24, 2019
